The Earth Action Forum is proud to announce a Sustainability Film Showcase. This highly anticipated event will embody the world’s best films focused on sustainability. The EAF selection committee will meticulously curate a selection of films, both past and present, which highlight a variety of topics related to today’s United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). This dedicated team, with an expertise and passion for sustainability, will ensure that only the most impactful and thought-provoking films are chosen. The selection process considers various factors such as the film’s message, cinematography, storytelling, and overall contribution to the sustainability narrative. By curating the best films, the Earth Action Forum aims to inspire, educate, and ignite conversations about our planet’s pressing environmental issues.

The Selected Films will have the unique opportunity for their creative work to be distributed across the ENTIRE VOX platform. With world-class cinemas spanning 15 countries, 57 locations, and 631 screens, this showcase offers an unparalleled platform to reach a diverse audience and engage them in crucial conversations about sustainability. By sharing their stories and insights, filmmakers can inspire viewers worldwide to embrace sustainable practices and foster a collective commitment to preserving our planet. The EAF film showcase not only amplifies the reach of these films but also provides a unique chance to be part of a transformative movement, driving positive change and shaping a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Content Strategy and Age/Ratings
With a wide range of theaters, some are 3D and 4DX, while a few across the VOX network are specifically kid themed. The Selection process with consider the impact of the films, the stories that are told, as well as the age and rating of the films being showcased. The opportunity to create a widespread and accessible platform for viewers of all ages to engage with these important narratives. VOX theaters, known for their commitment to providing immersive cinematic experiences, recognize the significance of the Sustainability Film Showings and its potential to raise awareness about sustainability. By showing these films in their theaters, VOX extends the reach of the festival beyond traditional venues, allowing a diverse audience to be exposed to these impactful stories of environmental consciousness.
Voting Platform for Your Voice to Be Heard.
Viewers play an integral role in the Earth Action Forum’s Sustainability Film Contest through their voting and feedback. During the showcase period from December 5th to 7th, viewers have the opportunity to watch the selected films and score the film based on a set of criteria (Example: Story Telling, Impact, Cinematography, Acting, etc.) The highest-rated in each category will be honored at the GRAND GALA (Dec. 8th) at the Grand Hyatt. The voting process is designed to be inclusive and democratic, allowing viewers to express their preferences and opinions. This engagement empowers viewers to actively participate in shaping the narrative around sustainability and encourages them to consider their role in creating a more sustainable future.
Presenting The Winners
The winners will be presented during the Earth Action Forum Grand Gala, which is held on December 8th at the Hyatt Grand Ballroom. The gala serves as the culmination of the Earth Action Forum, bringing together filmmakers, sustainability advocates, and viewers worldwide. During this prestigious event, the film with the highest number of votes in each category will be announced as the winner. This award not only recognizes the outstanding craftsmanship and storytelling of the winning film but also acknowledges its impact on promoting sustainability. The selection process and announcement of the winner during the grand gala serve as a celebratory moment that honors the filmmakers’ dedication and amplifies the message of sustainability to a global audience, inspiring further action and change.
